[As for John Jr., there is a John WHITAKER in Walton Co. (age 26-45) [pp. 240-241].  Walton Co. was created in 1818 from Cherokee lands and early records show a John WHITAKER there in 1819.   Not known if this is the same one from Morgan Co.]

1820 Tax Digest - John  WHITTICAN, Senr. of Capt. Tolbert's District and District 20, was listed with no land and one white poll.
Daniel WHITTICAR of District 20 was listed in Capt. Knight's District paying for one white poll and six black polls.  He was also listed as an administrator for Thomas HANSON (estate) which included two black polls.  [no page numbers]
[There is a John WITCHER of District 20 in Capt. Knight's District with one white poll.  Not certain if this is same one as John, Jr.  If so, he would have likely been listed as a "Jr." to separate him from the older John.]

1820 Land Lottery - John WHITTEAKER (Junr.) was listed in Talbotts Militia District with land lot number 637 in section 2 of Appling County.
John WHITAKER, Sr. was listed in Knights Militia District with land lot number 323 in section 7 of Irwin County.
John WHITAKER, Jr. was listed in Talbotts Militia District with land lot number 308 in section 3 of Early County.

Circa 1821-1822 - Daughter Elizabeth married Joel CULPEPPER, likely in Morgan Co.

1821, 27 Jan - Deed - "John WHETEKER of Morgan County  in Consideration of four hundred paid by D Parker of the County of Gwinett  [sold to Parker] the part of Lot No one hundred and forty six in the twentieth district formerly Baldwin now Morgan County containing fifty acres more or less"  Later on in this deed the spelling "John WITHER" was used and "John WITCHER" signed the deed.  Witnesses were Burnell Russell and Joshua Eckles JP.  Recorded 29 Jan 1821.  [Not sure if this should be John WHITAKER whose surname was misspelled.  Further research on the land description should reveal the correct surname spelling.  Need to get a copy of this deed record along with the volume and page number.  Information was sent by Marshall W. Williams, researcher, of Madison, GA to Gertrude W. Stone.]

1821, 29 Sep - Deed - An indenture was made between Martin I. Sparks and Daniel WHITAKER, both of Morgan Co., in which WHITAKER paid Sparks $400 for land situated in Morgan Co. but was formerly in Baldwin Co. at the time of survey and known in the "plan T20H (?) Dist of Baldwin Co by the n w half of lot #90 containing One Hundred One and ¼ acres more or less"  Recorded 30 Mar 1826.  [HH:__. (Need page number.)]

1823 Tax Digest - Wilson Lumpkin was listed as an agent for John WHITICAR of District 7 in Capt. Megee's District with land number 323 in Irwin Co. (490 acres) and one white poll.
In Capt. WHITICAR's District, Daniel WHITICAR of District 20 was listed with land number 90, 145 acres on Hard (Labor) Creek, with one white poll and eight black polls. [no page numbers]

1824 Tax Digest - Joel CULPEPPER, son-in-law, of Capt. Johnston's District was listed with one white poll.
John WHITICAR, Senr. was listed twice in Capt. McClendon's District, first in District 9 with land number 62 (490 acres) and second in District 7 with land number 323 (490 acres), both in Irwin Co, along with one white poll.
John HARDEGREE, son-in-law, was listed in Capt. McClendon's District with one white poll.
In Capt. Watson's District, Abraham WHITICAR of District 20 was listed with one white poll. [a relative?]
Daniel WHITICAR was listed twice, first in District 20 with land number 90 (40 and 202? acres on Hard (Labor) Creek) and second in District 12 with land number 62 (250 acres), along with one white poll and eight black polls.  [no page numbers]

1824, 2 Feb - Possible daughter Delilah WHITAKER married Martin TOMLIN.  [Notice that in the early tax digests John had land next to Tomlin.]  [Morgan County, Georgia  Marriage Records, 1808-1865 by Frances T. Ingmire, p. 50 of bride section]

1826 Tax Digest - Of Capt. Gragg's District, John WHITICAR was listed twice, first in District 7 with land number 323 in Irwin Co. (490 acres) and second in District 3 with land number 168 in Habersham Co. (250 acres) along with one white poll.
Daniel WHITICAR of Capt. Watson's District and District 20 was listed with land number 90 (235 acres) on Hard (Labor) Creek, along with one white poll and eight black polls. [no page numbers]

[In 1826, Coweta County was created from Indian lands.  According to History of Coweta County (p. 17) and Coweta County Chronicles for One Hundred Years by Mary G. Jones and Lily Reynolds (p. 812), Daniel WHITAKER, Berry WHITAKER and P. H. WHITAKER, all of 3rd District, were among the early settlers of this county.]

1828, 8 Jan - Littleberry WHITAKER, possible son, married Talitha C. NELSON.  [Morgan County, Georgia  Marriage Records, 1808-1865 by Frances T. Ingmire, p. 50 of groom section]

1829 Tax Digest - John WHITAKER of Capt. Martin's District was listed with 4 properties and one white poll.  His properties were:  (1) District 20, Morgan Co., 101-1/4 acres; (2) District 7 in Irwin Co., land number 323, 490 acres; (3) District 3 in Habersham Co., land number 168, 250 acres; and (4) District 12 in Early Co., land number 5 (250 acres).
